![]() ![]() TL:DR - Offer me a choice that isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I will participate. If both choices are ♥♥♥♥, my answer is "I vote for neither, because I'm part of the problem if I do." I can't do anything to fix this, but at the very least I won't contribute to the problem. Its the illusion of choice, and that is not democracy. Until eventually you only have two to choose from, and recently the choices have been "terrible" and "even worse".Ī choice where someone else picks two options for you, then demands you choose or you "are not a patriot" isn't a choice. ![]() but then as "the polls" start deciding who is popular, suddenly you can only vote for those ones. You can vote for any candidate you want initially. Not sure about in other countries, but in mine we are not. Democracy needs participation and vigilance on the part of the people to work That's assuming we're given the opportunity to participate.
